Privacy policy
RoadTalk is an app for truck drivers to practice the English used at roadside inspections, border crossings and consular interviews. It is used by drivers of the carrier that contracts the service, with a code that carrier assigns.
What we keep
- What was understood from your voice. Each answer is converted to text, and that text is stored with its score and advice, so you can see your progress and your fleet can see who is ready.
- Usage events. When you sign in, which module you open, how many times you answer, whether the microphone was denied, and errors.
- Your access code and the name your fleet assigned you. We do not ask for email, phone number or password.
What we do not keep
- Your voice. Audio is transcribed in memory and discarded immediately. It is never written to disk on the server.
- Driving-mode recordings stay on your phone until you grade them. When graded they are uploaded, transcribed and discarded the same way.
- We do not use your location, contacts or photos.
Permissions
Microphone, to hear your answers. Internet, to transcribe and grade them and to download the practice audio.
Who sees it
You, in "My progress", and your fleet's administrator, in a table with your name, activity and status per module. No one else. Data is sent encrypted (HTTPS). It is not sold or shared with third parties, except the infrastructure and speech-processing providers needed to provide the service.
Retention and deletion
Transcripts and scores are kept while your fleet keeps the service, so your progress has a history. If the fleet leaves the service, its records are deleted. Access or deletion requests: through your fleet, or by writing to contact@lp.solutions.
